Since the very beginning of the early access days, Minecraft players have always been obsessed with recreating areas and scenes from other games or movies in the crafting universe. From the Death Star to San Andreas, we’ve seen just about everything rebuilt in the blocky world of Minecraft. The latest impressive Minecraft creation is a throwback to one of World of Warcraft’s most iconic raids: Naxxramas.
The Naxxramas raid is legendary among players who enjoyed the old days of 40-man raiding and even newer players are likely familiar with the legends about taking down everyone from Anub’ to Kel’Thuzad. Apparently, at least one hardcore Minecraft player also remembers the old raid fondly. And accurately.
Minecraft player Joakim Karlsson has managed to recreate the entire Naxxramas raid setting in his Minecraft server. The massive World of Warcraft-inspired creation is incredibly impressive and seems to capture every nook and cranny of the floating necropolis.

From the Arachnid wing all the way through to Frostwing, it seems like Karlsson managed to capture nearly everything in his replica. We would definitely love a chance to walk through the creation ourselves, so hopefully we get a chance to play around in a public version of the full-scale project at some point.
After all these years, Minecraft players are still finding ways to stretch what is possible in the game and impress not only their own community, but also gamers who don’t play the creation game themselves. We’d love to see more World of Warcraft settings recreated in the game, but this one took Karlsson multiple years to complete, so we’ll try to give him a chance to rest before we start our campaign for Blackrock Spire…
