How to play PES 2018 on before it’s even out

Good news, virtual footie fans! It’s now possible to play the official PES 2018 demo on both PlayStation and Xbox.

PES 2018 might still be weeks away from launch, but you can get in on the action early courtesy of a full demo of the game. The file, which will take up between 4GB and 5GB of space on your machine, is only available on select platforms however – and PC isn’t included.

But if you’re a proud owner of a PS4, PS3, Xbox One, or Xbox 360, you’ll be able to play the demo right now. Just head into your respective platform’s digital store and search for PES 2018.

The game was previously available to play in open beta back in July, but it was limited to online multiplayer play. The demo, by contrast, enables offline play for the very first time before the game’s official release next month.

While it’s downloading, check out the official PES 2018 trailer from this year’s Gamescom:

Just 11 teams are playable in the demo, including the following: Barcelona, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. You’ll also be able to play in two different stadiums, Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park and Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

PES 2018 – or Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, as it’s officially known – will be available for purchase on September 12, 2017. There will be a special ‘Barcelona Edition’ of the game available, and Konami has also confirmed pre-order bonus content for both digital downloads and physical disc versions.
