There are five games scheduled for Christmas Day.
NBA fans enjoy watching action-packed games on Christmas Day. This year, the NBA will treat those same fans with five Christmas Day matchups, including an NBA Finals rematch.
The matchups include Knicks-76ers (noon ET, ESPN), Cavs-Warriors (3 p.m., ABC), Wizards-Celtics (5:30 p.m., ABC), Rockets-Thunder (8 p.m., ABC), and Timberwolves-Lakers (10:30 p.m., TNT).
Philadelphia (14-18) and New York (17-15) have both played well in the early stages of this 82-game season and are two of the most exciting teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavaliers (24-9) and Warriors (26-7) should be a fun matchup as well. These are the two top teams in the NBA, and they could meet for the fourth time in the NBA Finals. Another LeBron James-Kevin Durant matchup should keep fans on the edge of their seats.
The Wizards (18-15) and Celtics (27-9) are two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Both teams were favorites to land in the top three playoff seeds this season. This matchup will give fans a taste of what to expect if these teams meet in the playoffs.
Looking over to the Western Conference, the Rockets (25-6) and Thunder (18-15) are two teams that can light up a scoreboard at any moment. Whenever you have Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Paul George on the same court — you can expect a high-scoring affair.
The Timberwolves (20-13) and Lakers (11-20) have tons of young and athletic players on their respective squads. Both teams want to get into the open court and play fast, which will make this game fun to watch.
