The WNBA Draft was held at the Nike Headquarters in New York City on Thursday, and for a handful of teams, a new era is set to begin. This draft is a deep one, and any team with a glaring need should be able to fill it in the opening round.

Here’s the complete 2018 WNBA Draft as it happens

Round 1

  1. Las Vegas Aces: A’Ja Wilson – South Carolina
  2. Indiana Fever: Kelsey Mitchell – Ohio State University
  3. Chicago Sky: Diamond DeShields – Turkey

A’ja Wilson is the standout No. 1 overall pick to the Las Vegas Aces. It’ll be an exciting start for the Aces, formerly known the San Antonio Stars, as they play their first season as Las Vegas’ first professional basketball team. Wilson joins last season’s No. 1 pick, Kelsey Plum, and will provide a strong base for new head coach Bill Laimbeer to build around — and for a new fanbase to bandwagon to.
