Monster Hunter: World is known for its quirky characters but soon it might be getting the strangest one of them all. Today, Capcom confirmed that it’s working on several Devil May Cry-themed add-ons for the game. Devil May Cry HD Collection launched on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 today so this announcement seems to be a celebration of that.
It’s unclear when the Devil May Cry pack will hit Monster Hunter: World because Capcom told gamers to “stay tuned” for more information regarding the reveal. Hopefully the wait won’t be too long. Until then, you can enjoy the bombastic trailer featuring bombs and other weapons.
The main objective in Monster Hunter: World is to simply battle gigantic monsters in epic locales. As a hunter, you’ll take on quests to kill increasing difficult beasts in their exotic habitats. Gamers who take down these monsters receive numerous materials that can be used to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt down even more dangerous monsters.
Monster Hunter: World launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 26, 2018. A PC version is scheduled for Fall 2018. The Monster Hunter franchise started off on the PlayStation 2 in 2004 but then became a Nintendo exclusive for many years. Games like Monster Hunter Tri, Monster Hunter 4, and even Monster Hunter Generations were only available on systems like the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo 3DS.
Monster Hunter is regarded as a legendary franchise and since launch Monster Hunter: World has become Capcom’s best-selling game ever. The title features Xbox One X support and looks stunning on Microsoft’s new console.
